Unclone.io Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains the information you permit Unclone.io, LLC ("Unclone," "we," "us") to collect, and how we use, share, and protect it, when you visit https://unclone.io or use the Unclone platform and services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and give Unclone permission to collect and record the information described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account and contact information. By creating an account and agreeing to this Policy, you give us permission to collect and store information such as your name, email address, company or organization name, role, and account identifiers, along with the contents of any communications you send us. Authentication is provided through a third-party authentication service; we do not store readable passwords.
Service Terms and billing records. When you complete card checkout, Stripe records whether you accepted our Service Terms on the Checkout Session. We receive and retain limited billing and account information such as the associated workspace, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, billing status, and related event timestamps; we may also retain the Checkout Session identifier when recorded. When you request invoice/wire billing, we record the requesting workspace member, requester email, selected plan and billing interval, accepted Terms version and URL, acceptance time, IP address, and user-agent information.
Brand Representative Authorization records. When you complete a Brand Representative Authorization, we record authorization metadata that may include the signer’s typed name, associated user account, brand or organization, date and time, IP address, user-agent or browser information, document version, document hash, and checkbox confirmation states. These records serve as evidence of authorization.
Brand and evidence information. To provide the Services, you authorize us to collect the information you submit about your brand — such as domains, trademarks, official websites, and social profiles — and to gather information about suspected impersonation on your behalf, including screenshots, URLs, and registration data. Evidence may incidentally include personal information about individuals associated with suspected infringing sites.
Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. You permit us to receive limited billing details from them (such as name, billing contact, plan, and transaction status); we do not store full payment card numbers.
Usage and log data. Like most online services, you consent to our automatic collection of log information, which may include IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, session management, preferences, service functionality, and analytics, and our marketing pages may include third-party analytics or advertising tags when enabled.
Communications. You permit us to retain emails, support requests, and other communications you send us.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, operate, and improve the Services; detect, verify, and report suspected brand impersonation and abuse; prepare and submit takedown requests on our customers’ behalf; maintain records of authorization and acceptance; process payments and manage accounts; communicate with you about the Services and support; monitor for fraud and security incidents; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our agreements.
4. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security, prevent fraud, process billing, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain audit records. In particular, Brand Representative Authorizations, acceptance-related Stripe and billing records, invoice/wire requests, evidence, takedown and abuse-report records, remediation history, communications, and associated metadata may be retained after an account is closed or a brand is removed, because these records document the authority under which Unclone acted and may be needed to establish or defend legal claims. Other information may be deleted or anonymized when no longer reasonably necessary.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You may update certain account and workspace information through the platform. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to exercise any other privacy right available under applicable law, contact us at support@unclone.io. Note that we may retain records described in Section 4 where retention is permitted or required. You may ask us to stop sending promotional communications by replying to the communication or by contacting support@unclone.io; you may continue to receive transactional, account, security, or service-related communications where appropriate.
7. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Services may link to or interact with third-party websites and services, including platforms that receive our reports; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we do not control.
8. Sources of Information
Information may come from our customers, public websites, social-media platforms, domain-registration and infrastructure records, suspected impersonation sites, and third-party service providers or data sources. Please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information through the platform, evidence uploads, or support communications.
9. Location of Processing
Unclone is based in the United States. We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate, and those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate, such as through the Services or by email.
